Pushkar is best accessed from the major city of Ajmer, only 11 km
away.
By Air
The nearest airport to Ajmer is Jaipur, 150 km away. There are a number
flights connecting Jaipur to Delhi, Mumbai, Jodhpur and Udaipur.
By Train
Ajmer is on the Delhi-Jaipur-Marwar-Ahmedabad line and is a halt for
most trains. There is also an express, The Shatabadi Express, which
connects Ajmer to Jaipur and Delhi. It is fully air-conditioned and
leaves Delhi at 6.15 am on all days except Sunday, reaching Ajmer
at 1.30 pm. From the Ajmer Railway Station, Pushkar is only a half
hour drive. Buses and taxis are readily available.
By Bus
There are regular bus services from Jaipur and all other major cities
of Rajasthan to Ajmer which is located on a National Highway. Pushkar
is extremely well connected to Ajmer with buses, jeeps and taxis leaving
every few minutes.
